Dealing
with Loss

Grief & Loss 1-2-1 Intervention
Counselling for children and young people. The sessions are CYP led which allows them to identify the major themes that they want to work on in sessions as well as looking at where they want to be. Whilst the CYP have been identified as having experienced grief and loss, these sessions will work through grief as part of wider issues impacting the overall mental health and wellbeing of the CYP. The counselling can be face to face at one of Changes Wellbeing Centres during daytime hours as well as online or telephone either in school or at home.
Bereavement and loss workshops
For children and young people, where we cover grief and loss, memories, change and transition. Workshops are run in schools where a group of children have been identified, or can be run in community locations for children from different areas.
Bereavement & Loss Training
(accessed via the ‘Getting Advice’ Page)
Training for professionals who work with CYP and parents/carers – to raise awareness and understanding of grief and the varying ways it can impact young people experiencing grief and loss. The training is delivered either face-to-face or online and lasts between 2-3 hours. The training can also be a closed session in school or for a group with a suitable venue.
