Specialist CAMHS Services
in Staffordshire


The CAMHS service is made up of multi-disciplinary teams staffed by social workers, mental health nurses, therapists, clinical psychologists, mental health practitioners and child and adolescent psychiatrists. They work with parents and children to promote the development of children and young people so they can flourish at home and when they get to school.
Services available are for children, young people and their families/carers who have concerns about mental health, behaviour or emotional wellbeing – including:
- Psychological Assessment.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for difficulties including anxiety and depression.
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) for young people having difficulties regulating their emotions.
- Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment.
- Neuro-developmental assessment.
- The New Forest Programme for parents of young people diagnosed with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
- Triple P Parenting Programme.
- Systemic Family work.
- Behavioural work for young people experiencing phobias, anxiety and low mood.
